Lithemba Academy is a finishing centre that works with pupils who wish to achieve/improve their results. We focus mainly on matric results as these are the ones that will lay the foundations of their futures.

  • Pupils are offered the opportunity to work towards being accepted into the University of their choice to study for any career of their choosing. We do this by providing them with the Best tutors and by giving them the necessary attention that they require to gain confidence in their studies.

  • Our students are also provided with University and Bursary application forms as well as teachers who are ready help make their application process easier.

  • We assist students that have travelled far from home to find safe accomodations for the duration of their stay with us.

Everything you need to know about studying at Lithemba Academy

Yes, absolutely! Lithemba Academy is officially registered with the South African Department of Basic Education. Our EMIS (Education Management Information System) number is 500507011. This means all certificates and qualifications obtained through our institution are nationally recognized and valid for university applications and employment.

Anyone who has previously written matric exams can register to upgrade their results. This includes:
  • Learners who passed but want higher marks for university admission
  • Learners who failed one or more subjects
  • Learners wanting to add new subjects to their certificate
  • Adults over 21 can write ASC (Amended Senior Certificate) exams

For Upgrading & Supplementary Exams:
  • 2 x Certified copies of your latest statement of results
  • 2 x Certified copies of your ID
For ASC Exams (over 21):
  • Proof that you are over 21 years old
  • 2 x Certified copies of your ID
  • 2 x Certified copies of your statement of results (GETC, Grade 9/10/11 passed school report)
  • 2 x ID-sized photos

The registration fee is R2,000 and is non-refundable. This fee covers administration, registration with the Department of Education examination system, and secures your place at our academy. Monthly tuition fees range from R450/month (1 subject) to R1,600/month (full-time learners).

Yes! We go beyond just teaching. Our dedicated staff helps students with:

  • NSFAS applications
  • Career guidance and counselling
  • Finding safe accommodation for students from far areas

NSC (National Senior Certificate): The current CAPS curriculum matric exam. For learners who wrote matric from 2008 onwards using the new syllabus.

ASC (Amended Senior Certificate): The old syllabus exam for adults over 21 who either never completed matric or wrote under the old curriculum. Both are nationally recognized qualifications.
